2017 is going to be an exciting year. Our first grand baby is due in the next few days, Calichi @ Picture Point will be going live and St. John Concrete will be firmly positioned on the island! Lots of work, but it will be very rewarding to see all of our efforts come to fruition.
Several steps left to get St John Concrete off and running, and we’re running out of things to do at Picture Point before we’re totally blocked by the lack of concrete. It will be close…
The first 2BR Poolside Villa is ready for pouring the main slab and support columns. Here’s the slab form at the beginning of the week, with the final product ready for concrete at the end of this week. The cantilevered porch has been formed and the steel grid for the floor slab and main beams are all tied and in place.
The second 2BR Poolside Villa is almost closed up and ready for its pour. Just a few more outer forms to put in place and this structure will be waiting for concrete until we can proceed.
On the upper 1BR Villa, the team is finishing up forming of the stem walls for the main floor slab and entrance walk way. Once these stem walls are formed, we’ll be waiting on concrete to tie it all together. Then, onto the floor slab for this villa!
The main walkway to the villa entrance also rests on stem walls which are tied into the footers resting on the bedrock. The top of these walls will be on grade with the entrance to the villa.
The guys are almost moving too quickly! We need some concrete soon. Very soon.
The orchids are also blooming quite nicely this week at Apito. Here’s a pic to brighten up your winter day!
Here’s to a happy, healthy and prosperous 2017!
