Things are gearing up, with aggregate, sand and cement due in next week. The yard at St. John Concrete is almost ready, but there are a lot of final touches to complete before we start pouring concrete like crazy. We also got some nice coverage this week in St. John Tradewinds News.
We have strategically stacked 4, 20′ containers which will contain our batch office, with chemical and fiber storage along with our chemical house on the bottom left. Our second mixer also arrived.
Our 250kw generator is in place and the batch plant is being wired for electric.
Meanwhile, at Calichi @ Picture Point, Sheraz and the crew took a long weekend off as concrete production is just a week away, and they’ve been working 6-7 days a week for the last 6 months.
Focus last week was on the Upper 1BR Villa, and the crew has begun creating the main floor slab and covered porch forms. We’ll have to pour the stem walls in the foreground before we can complete this slab form, but Sheraz and team can still form beams and tie some steel before we’re totally blocked out waiting for concrete.
It was nice to stand on the porch of the Upper 1BR and experience for the very first time the views this villa will enjoy.
Wayne has also been working for the last week on the pool compound excavation. A few more days and we’ll be ready to form the slab for the main pool cistern and equipment room.
Sweet Cameron also had her first, and according to her daddy, last nude photo shoot this week!
Ting also got a haircut this week, but her beard is still righteous.
Cami says have a great week everyone!
