Ok, I’m late again, but this time I do have a really good excuse.  Charlotte, Conner and Cameron’s baby shower!  A great time was had by all.  What a blessing to have this little one on island with Charlotte and Conner.

The weather last week was pretty iffy – cold!  I know, not a lot of sympathy, but it was cold!

But, onto this week’s progress report.  We’ve stripped the forms from the cistern on Poolside Villa #2, coated the walls with water sealant and are ready to pour the footings for the rear stem wall.  Once the stem walls are formed and poured, we’ll back fill the void between the rear cistern wall and begin forming the floor slab.

Poolside villa #1 is almost ready for pouring as the roof and exterior walls are in place.  Once we tie steel for the roof, it will be ready for its final pour.

The crew has also been forming footings for the parking pad and entry walkways into the pool side villas.  There will be parking for 3 vehicles between the two villas.  These footings will be poured tomorrow!

The pool is also scheduled to receive some concrete tomorrow, and we’ll knock out the walls of the equipment room (semi-circular piece), the pool cistern slabs, and the stem walls for the lap pool.

The tower villa plyform is in the process of being removed, with one final week of curing for the ceiling slab left before those pieces come off and the floor jacks removed.  Just need to form and pour the final piece of the tower and observation platform and this one is ready for exterior doors and windows!

Now it’s time to start on the final two units, office, maintenance and laundry facilities at the lower portion of the property.  It doesn’t look like much now, but the excavation for the 1BR Honeymoon suite is almost complete.  This unit will feature it’s own roof top terrace with a private hot tub, and it’s a little more secluded in relation to the other 5 villas.

That’s it for this week.  50+ more yards of concrete tomorrow and 50+ more yards for the Bordeaux Road paving project…  Have a great week everyone!
