Happy Father’s day everyone! I am blessed to be the father of two awesome boys and to have such a beautiful granddaughter.
It was a busy week at the site as David and Mike paid us a visit to install the wine cellar and storage area, but first, he had to get the big view from the tower platform. Don’t worry, there will be railing installed before we allow guests on it.
The wine cellar components did not arrive quite as expected, as we ended up with two left sides. Fortunately, Mike was on site and made the necessary adjustments to get this put together and installed.
It turned out very well! A few more finishing items, and this wine cellar will be ready to host a lot of wine. That should hold David for a week or two.
Even with all the work David and Mike did, we still found time to take a boat day to the BVI on Calichi.
The tower villa continues to move forward with wiring almost complete, A/C units on site and final checks on location of every wire, light switch and electrical outlet. Larry, our cabinet maker, was on site this week measuring for cabinets in preparation for creating the custom milled furniture, kitchen and vanities for the villas. Now that we have identified where we need to add “blocking” for various items to attach to, we’re ready to close up the walls.
The upper 1BR villa also got some attention as the crew formed the retaining walls for the parking area and entry way poured last week.
Wayne has also been quite busy working on the lower portion of the site clearing out the access road, parking for the office and preparing for the forming of a stem wall, porch and floor for the 1BR Honeymoon suite. This villa will have its own private roof top terrace and lounge area.
The team also poured another 50 plus yards of concrete to complete the retaining wall for the pool complex. After stripping these forms, the team will begin building the floor, sitting area and bathroom.
And here is your weekly dose of Cameron!
Again, Happy Father’s Day everyone! Have a great week!
