The pool and some more pours...

Getting ready to pour the slab

Getting ready to pour the slab

It has been a very busy two weeks, and I seem to keep apologizing for my lapses in updates. We got the latest 3-D model of the pool area and our pool consultant, Shane, is back in town again to finalize the hydrology designs with Fernando, our plumber.

That is what the pool will look like, but now it's time to build it.

The pump truck and St. John Concrete showed up and the gray gold started flowing. Here's the crew smoothing out the concrete for the equipment room floor slab.

Here's the cistern as viewed from below. You can see all the snap-ties which held the plyforms in place to create a uniform wall width. The cutout door is where equipment for both poolside villas will be stored.

We also poured the slab for the 2nd poolside villa. Since it is a suspended slab, we'll have to wait 3 weeks for the concrete to completely cure.
